Fine Line Between Love and Hate

How deep your anger must be

To rip the child from her mother’s arms

Keeping them away from each other

What contempt you must have for motherhood

There is a fine line between love and hate

When you love so deeply that betrayal

Hardens you

All you see is anger

Instead of love

And the products of that love

Driven by blind fury of revenge

Taking it out on everyone else

You don’t see it that way

You think this is the right thing

Stripping your kids of their truth

Stealing from them an opportunity

To know their mother

Make their own decisions

About who she is

Instead of your tortured version
